1 The production of diammonium phosphate continues to grow and the supply and sales markets are on the upside. The production of ammonium phosphate has increased but the sales have been affected by the strong demand for synthetic fertilizers. There is a slight decrease in production and sales of N-P-K fertilizer which is also seen replacing diammonium phosphate in some markets.
2. The export of phosphate fertilizer fell while the import grew. The export of diammonium phosphate, especially, rose sharply in the first quarter of 2010.
3. Stagnancy occurred in domestic phosphorus compound fertilizer sales market due to the drought situation in major production areas.
4. The purchase of diammonium phosphate conducted by India and Pakistan improved the international phosphate fertilizer market.
5 Further predictions
Chemical fertilizer manufacturers are restricted by electricity limit; therefore, full operation can not be achieved. On the other hand, climate issues lead to an increase in manufacturers’ inventory. The price of phosphate fertilizer will show a
downward tendency in domestic market. |
